- Though approved by the state of Florida, marijuana remains Federally ILLEGAL.
- Insurance will not cover your doctor visit to be qualified for medical marijuana.
- The initial office visit is $175, with $75 for each subsequent visit. Please read the below information carefully prior to your visit as this fee is NOT refundable, even if Dr. Navarro finds that you do not qualify for medical marijuana.
- Please note that the following are the only conditions accepted by the state of Florida for medical marijuana qualification
- Cancer
- Epilepsy
- Glaucoma
- HIV / AIDS
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Amyotrophic Lateralizing Sclerosis (ALS)
- Chron’s Diseaseo Parkinson’s Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Medical conditions of the same kind or class or that are comparable to above *
- A terminal condition diagnosed by a physician other than the physician issuing the certification for medical marijuana
- Chronic non-malignant pain CAUSED BY ONE OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONDITIONS.
- An order per Florida state statute is only valid for 70 days. You will be asked to return for reassessment at this time.
- Once you have found a dose that manages your symptoms Dr. Navarro can place up to three (3) orders at a time which will be left to his discretion.
- While every patient is considered on an individual basis, please note that Dr. Navarro tends to avoid the recommendation of vaping devices due to increased incidents of pulmonary disease and disorders as well as potential increased risk for seizure and cancer.
- Please bring any medical records that support your qualifying diagnosis. We will be unable to complete your certification until we receive documentation confirming your diagnosis.
- Any visit with Dr. Navarro may include random drug screening at no cost to you. Dr. Navarro reserves the right to discontinue the medical marijuana certification and potentially discharge any patient whose drug screens suggest that they are using illicit drugs or diverting their prescription/recommended medications.
